The PGA Tour Comes to Fazio Canyons With Its Dates Locked and Its Logistics Still Open

October 29, 2026

On Thursday, Nov. 12, 120 PGA Tour players tee off at the Fazio Canyons course at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, 8212 Barton Club Drive. The winner will take home 500 FedEx Cup points. The tickets are on sale and the four public days are on the calendar.

As of mid-October, golf trade press reported that no title sponsor had been announced. As of Oct. 20, the tournament's website had posted no spectator parking lots, shuttle stops, gate times or traffic plan. Those open items matter most to anyone who drives Barton Creek Boulevard or Bee Cave Road every day.

A tournament that changed names but kept its dates

The PGA Tour announced this event in October 2025 as the Good Good Championship. It was a new fall stop at Fazio Canyons, and it brought the Tour back to Austin for the first time since 2023. Community Impact covered the ticket launch under that name in March.

On Aug. 27, Good Good Golf CEO Matt Kendrick said the company had "decided to step away as sponsor of our event in Austin this fall." The PGA Tour's statement that day said the schedule would not move:

The tournament will continue as scheduled from Nov. 12-15, 2026, and we will provide an update on sponsorship plans at a later date.

So the event now goes by the Austin Championship. On Oct. 13, Sports Business Journal reported that the Tour was still looking for a title sponsor. Two days later, Golfweek reported that no sponsor had been announced. The tournament's own pages don't settle it. The homepage shows the Omni Barton Creek logo labeled "Title Sponsor." The sponsors page lists six official partners and no title sponsor: Ascension, Choctaw Casinos & Resorts, Compliance Solutions, Delta Air Lines, Levelwear and Tecovas. The name on the scoreboard could still change before the first round.

The four public days and their prices

The full event week runs Nov. 9–15. Ticketed spectators can attend Thursday through Sunday, and a weekly pass adds Wednesday.

Day Date General admission
Thursday Nov. 12 $80
Friday Nov. 13 $90
Saturday Nov. 14 $120
Sunday Nov. 15 $100
Weekly pass Nov. 11–15 $350

The four daily tickets add up to $390. The weekly pass costs $40 less and covers a fifth day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, which isn't sold on its own. Any three daily tickets cost less than the pass, so it pays off only if you plan to attend all four public days or want Wednesday as well. Saturday is the most expensive single day, at $40 more than Thursday. All tickets go through the tournament's ticket page, which links to Ticketmaster.

Who gets in without a ticket

Families get the biggest break. Children 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult, up to two children per adult. That covers the grounds, the public venues on site, and walking the course along the ropes. Hospitality venues are different. Children 2 and older need their own hospitality ticket, and a free youth admission doesn't get them in. An adult with two young golf fans can attend Thursday for $80 total.

Friday is Folds of Honor Friday, presented by Compliance Solutions. Golfweek reported that admission that day is free, while availability lasts, for active-duty military, National Guard and Reserve members, military retirees, veterans and first responders. The day also includes a color guard, the national anthem and ribbon pins. The tournament hasn't posted how to claim that admission, so check its ticket page before you count on it.

According to Visit Austin's event listing, net proceeds benefit local nonprofits across Travis County and the greater Austin area, with Play Yellow and Folds of Honor named as primary beneficiaries. The Play Yellow money supports pediatric cancer initiatives at the Blood and Cancer Center at Dell Children's Medical Center. The tournament is still recruiting volunteers. The roles include an ADA golf-cart shuttle that runs Wednesday, Nov. 11, through Sunday, Nov. 15, on a set route with stops for spectators with limited mobility.

What hasn't been posted yet

That shuttle is the only transportation plan the tournament has published. As of Oct. 20, its site and its public agency and local news coverage did not list:

  • Spectator parking lots, on or off site
  • Shuttle pickup locations for general admission ticket holders
  • Rideshare drop-off and pickup points
  • Gate opening times or a clear-bag rule
  • Lane closures or traffic advisories for Barton Creek Boulevard, Bee Cave Road, Loop 360 or Southwest Parkway

The ticket terms do cover what you can carry in. Spectators agree to an inspection that may include metal detection. Coolers, ladders, signs and firearms aren't allowed, and neither are standalone cameras on competition days. No outside alcohol may be brought in. Phones are allowed if they're kept on silent.

If you live near Barton Club Drive, this affects your week more than the sponsor question does. Barton Creek Boulevard serves both the resort and the community's homes. Until the tournament posts a parking and arrival plan, no one outside the organizers knows where traffic will be routed, so it isn't possible yet to tell which errands to move to Monday or Tuesday. The tournament site is the place to check, and it's worth checking again during the week of Nov. 2.

The resort has its own rules all year

Omni's year-round access rules apply whether or not there's a tournament. Its golf page says the courses are reserved exclusively for resort guests. The resort lists nine restaurants and lounges. Canyons Grill is limited to registered resort guests and club members. Arnie's is for club members and for resort guests with a tee time. Omni hasn't posted tournament-week hours for its restaurants, Mokara Spa or its other courses. If you have a spa appointment or a dinner reservation between Nov. 9 and 15, call the resort directly.

The course behind the broadcast

The TV broadcast will show more than the Hill Country views. It will show a course that was largely rebuilt a few years ago. Fazio Canyons opened in 1999. In October 2022, Omni reopened it after a seven-month, $5 million renovation that added new tees, bunkers and greens and modified the irrigation. Tom Fazio and his team worked on the restoration. This will be the first week the reworked course is played under tournament conditions in front of a paying gallery.

When the gallery leaves, the holiday season starts

The final round ends on Sunday, Nov. 15. Omni's holiday program starts the same day. Santa's Landing Rooms open that day and run through Jan. 4. The rest of the posted calendar follows:

  • Nov. 20 to Jan. 10: Blitzen's at Jim Bob's Lobby Lounge
  • Nov. 21, 2 to 4 p.m.: Art of Mixology: Autumn Sips & Spices
  • Nov. 27, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Thanksgiving Brunch at Blind Salamander
  • Dec. 5, 12 and 19, 9 to 11 a.m.: Breakfast with Santa
  • Dec. 19, 2 to 4 p.m.: Art of Mixology: Merry & Bright
  • Dec. 25, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Christmas Day Brunch
  • Dec. 31: three New Year's Eve events

The Holiday in the Hills page doesn't show a publication date, so confirm times with the resort before you book Thanksgiving.
